Dr. Allison Karolak has been named Medical Director of Ultroid Technologies, Inc., a fast-growing U.S. medical device company, and its parent company, Vascular Technologies, Inc., owner of Ultroid.

Dr. Karolak represents the latest addition to our team of professionals. She brings a unique perspective to our company as both a physician and a patient. Dr. Karolak is, and will always remain, a patient advocate. As a family physician, she touched the lives of many with her profound caring and exceptional clinical skills but felt compelled to bring relief to patients on a national scale. Dr. Karolak is passionate about her quest to assist in relieving millions of patients from the burden of hemorrhoidal disease. As a mother of two small children, she suffered silently for years without treatment of internal hemorrhoids due to the lack of desirable treatment options. Then, Dr. Karolak discovered Ultroid. Dr. Karolak is a proud graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Karolak completed her internship at Union Hospital, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health System and her Family Medicine residency at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey. She is board certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. Dr. Karolak is a proud member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Dr. Karolak shares her vision and agenda, “My top three priorities are clinical research, training for everyone who touches Ultroid and awareness of our product for both doctors and patients.” Karolak details her plan, “It is my goal to recruit physicians across the country to participate in randomized, multi-center, prospective studies comparing the Ultroid® Hemorrhoid Management System with the other treatment modalities.” Dr. Karolak plans on educating within the company as well, “I will be working with our staff at every level and with our distributors and their representatives, to educate them with the facts about our product. I plan to design and implement training manuals for each department of our company with the facts about Ultroid that are applicable to their job.”
